What is Leheriya Mothra?
Leheriya Mothra is a traditional 5000+ years old dyeing technique used to create different patterns on fabric. The modern age tie-dye is nothing but a form of the traditional Indian craft commonly known as Bandhani, Bandhej, Leheriya, and Mothra.
It is a highly skilled fabric dyeing process where the fabric is often twisted or folded in a certain manner and then tied tightly with thread at regular intervals to create different patterns including lines, circles, dots and checkered patterns.
